Farmer and influencer Bizza Walters inspires agriculture students

Hartpury University and Hartpury College were delighted to welcome Bizza Walters, Warwickshire farmer, agricultural influencer and presenter, as the first guest speaker in a new series of events supporting Hartpury’s Respect for All campaign.

Speaking to college agriculture students, Bizza shared insights from her career in farming, reflecting on her experiences as a woman building a successful path in an industry that has traditionally seen fewer female voices. She discussed the importance of creating an environment where everyone feels able to contribute and highlighted the value of diverse perspectives in strengthening agriculture for the future.

Bizza also explored topical issues facing the sector, including key points from the Chancellor’s Budget announcement and the potential implications for farmers. She emphasised the need for collaboration, mutual support, and positive representation to maintain public confidence in the agricultural community.

Students had the opportunity to ask questions and engage in open conversation about career progression, overcoming barriers, and finding confidence within the workplace. The session offered valuable real-world context for those preparing to enter the industry.

This event marks the beginning of a programme at Hartpury aimed at encouraging constructive dialogue, championing inclusivity, and celebrating the contributions of all those who work within the land-based sector.

Hartpury extends its thanks to Bizza Walters for her time, honesty, and encouragement, and looks forward to welcoming further speakers as part of the Respect for All initiative.
