Hartpury College alumnus wins Gold for England at Reykjavik International Games

Hartpury College is celebrating the international success of alumnus Dylan Bhatti, who represented England Athletics at the Reykjavik International Games 2026 in Iceland, delivering an outstanding performance in the men’s 60m sprint.

Dylan, a former student of Hartpury College and alum of the Athlete Performance Academy, competed as part of the England Athletics team and secured victory in his 60m race, winning both his heat and a medal for Team England on the day.

The event marked an important milestone in Dylan’s athletic career, providing valuable experience on the global stage.

Dylan is a graduate of the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science at Hartpury College, where he combined his academic studies with elite-level training through the Athlete Performance Academy. His success highlights the strength of Hartpury’s performance pathways and the impact of its integrated academic and sporting support – often referred to as the dual pathway.

Speaking about the achievement, the college praised Dylan’s dedication and progression, noting that he performed exceptionally well during his time as a student and continues to build on that foundation at international level.

Justin has helped numerous athletes like Dylan to progress through the dual pathway at Hartpury University and Hartpury College. His role as a sprint coach has helped to enhance performance within the Athlete Performance Academy heded up by Lee Douglas (Academy Manager).
