Strength and Conditioning degrees reaffirm CIMSPA recognition

Hartpury University’s undergraduate and postgraduate Strength and Conditioning programmes have reaffirmed their professional recognition from the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA), following a successful remapping to the University’s new curriculum.

Both the BSc (Hons) Strength and Conditioning and MSc Strength and Conditioning programmes are CIMSPA recognised, alongside their existing endorsement through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Education Recognition Programme (ERP).

This continued dual recognition highlights the strong industry alignment of Hartpury University’s programmes and the clear professional pathway they offer students entering the strength and conditioning sector.

At undergraduate level, students on the BSc (Hons) Strength and Conditioning programme graduate with CIMSPA recognition as both a Strength and Conditioning Trainer and Graduate Strength and Conditioning Coach. This provides graduates with recognised professional status and the qualifications required to begin working in the industry while continuing to develop their coaching expertise.

Students on the MSc Strength and Conditioning programme further enhance their knowledge and applied skills, supporting progression into higher-level roles within elite and professional sport environments.

The programmes’ NSCA Education Recognition Programme endorsement also reinforces their academic quality and international credibility, aligning Hartpury University with globally recognised standards in strength and conditioning education.

Together, these recognitions ensure that Hartpury students graduate with both academic excellence and industry-recognised professional status, equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and credentials required to succeed in the rapidly growing strength and conditioning sector.

Hartpury University is a CIMSPA Higher Education Partner, with a number of undergraduate and postgraduate sports courses also endorsed by the organisation, including MSc Sports Management, BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy, and BSc (Hons) Sports Business Management.

The continued recognition follows a successful CIMSPA inspection of the BSc (Hons) Strength and Conditioning programme in April 2025, further validating the quality and industry relevance of the course.
