Hartpury University and Hartpury College have been named as finalists in the prestigious National Inclusion Awards, recognising their work to create an inclusive environment for students and staff.
Hartpury has been shortlisted for the Organisational Impact Award for Inclusion, which recognises organisations that can demonstrate meaningful and sustained improvements in equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI).
The national awards are organised by the Institute for Equity, University Centre (IEUC) and celebrate individuals and organisations making a measurable difference to inclusion and social justice across the UK.
Hartpury University and Hartpury College have been recognised for their work across both institutions to expand inclusive learning environments, student access and operational equity.
The Organisational Impact Award considers evidence of change across organisational culture and behaviours, individual and organisational learning, and systems, policies and processes.
Hartpury is one of three finalists for the award, alongside Durham University and the University of East London.

“Creating an environment in which everyone has the opportunity to participate, develop and succeed is fundamental to our community, so it is particularly rewarding to see the work taking place across Hartpury recognised at a national level.
“This shortlisting reflects the collective contribution of colleagues and students across both our university and college. While there is always more that we can do, recognition such as this is an important opportunity to celebrate the progress we have made and reaffirm our commitment to continuing that work.”
The Institute for Equity said finalists were selected following a rigorous judging process examining measurable impact across areas including organisational culture, learning initiatives and policy.
Professor Paul Miller, CEO and Principal of the Institute for Equity, said the finalists had demonstrated how EDI principles could be translated into tangible and structural change.
The National Inclusion Awards recognise achievements across social justice leadership, organisational impact and lifetime achievement, bringing together individuals and institutions from across the UK.
Winners will be announced at the Yorkshire Inclusion Luncheon and National Inclusion Awards ceremony at Cedar Court Hotel in Huddersfield on Thursday 15 October 2026.
Hartpury’s place on the shortlist provides national recognition of the ongoing work across Hartpury University and Hartpury College to strengthen inclusion, widen opportunity and create an environment in which students and staff can thrive.
