Triple finalist success for Hartpury ahead of Gloucestershire Business Awards

Hartpury University and Hartpury College have been named finalists in three prestigious categories at the 2026 SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards, recognising the organisation's commitment to its people, collaborative culture and continued success.

Hartpury has been shortlisted for Team of the Year, Best Place to Work and Large Business of the Year, marking a significant achievement for the Gloucestershire-based institution and highlighting the collective contribution of colleagues from across the organisation.

The three nominations reflect Hartpury's commitment to creating a supportive, ambitious and inclusive working environment, where staff are empowered to develop, collaborate and make a meaningful difference to the lives of students and the wider community.

As one of Gloucestershire's leading education providers, Hartpury brings together specialist expertise, industry connections and a shared passion for delivering outstanding education and experiences. Its success is underpinned by the dedication of teams working across both Hartpury University and Hartpury College.

Lesley Worsfold, Chief People Officer at Hartpury, said: "Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and we're passionate about creating an environment where everyone feels valued, supported and inspired to achieve their best.

"Being shortlisted for Best Place to Work is especially rewarding because it reflects the culture we strive to build every day, one where colleagues feel a genuine sense of belonging, have opportunities to grow and are proud of the difference they make.

"To receive this recognition alongside nominations for Team of the Year and Large Business of the Year makes it even more special, and is a wonderful celebration of our entire community."

Mick Axtell, Chief Operating Officer at Hartpury, added: "Being shortlisted for Large Business of the Year is a fantastic recognition of Hartpury's continued development and the important contribution we make to Gloucestershire and beyond.

"Across Hartpury University and Hartpury College, our success is built on the expertise, ambition and dedication of our people, alongside the strong relationships we have developed with businesses, industry and the wider community.

"It's particularly pleasing to see our Business Development team recognised in the Team of the Year category. Their work in building partnerships, strengthening industry connections and creating new opportunities plays an important role in supporting our ambitions and extending Hartpury's impact.

"To be recognised across all three categories is something we're incredibly proud of and reflects the collective effort of colleagues across the organisation."

The Best Place to Work nomination is particularly significant, recognising the importance Hartpury places on its people and the culture that enables colleagues to thrive.
