Hartpury is proud to announce ambitious Italy-based company Alpas as the first-ever headline advertiser on the main stand at its Championship rugby stadium.
Based near Milan, Alpas has more than 40 years’ experience in the adhesive, resin and composite industries, distributing its products into a wide range of sectors including automotive, marble, flooring and furniture.
The stand overlooks Hartpury University and Hartpury College’s main rugby pitch at the Gillman’s Ground – home to Championship club Hartpury RFC and Tyrrells Premier 15s side Gloucester-Hartpury WRFC.
The floodlit stadium also regularly hosts matches in the BUCS Rugby Union Championship – won by the Hartpury’s men team for the past two years.
An Alpas spokesman said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be putting our name to the main stand at the Gillman’s Ground.
“The Hartpury rugby teams have enjoyed significant and sustained success and growth in recent years, mirroring our own achievements in the adhesive, resin and composite industries.
“We believe our business has grown from humble beginnings in much the same way as the Hartpury acorn, and as we look to expand our exciting range of technologies into UK markets, we’re excited about continuing that growth alongside Hartpury.
“We’re pleased to be building our successful association with current Hartpury University student and England and Gloucester-Hartpury rugby player Connie Powell, along with a number of other international athletes.
“We’re extremely excited to be joining forces with Hartpury, which is clearly a very special place, and with our shared qualities we hope we can both continue to achieve great success.”
Russell Marchant, Vice-Chancellor of Hartpury University and Principal of Hartpury College, added: “We’re thrilled to welcome the Alpas team aboard and we look forward to watching some superb rugby from the stand with their name on it.
“It’s a tremendous reflection of the continuing progress that our rugby teams are enjoying on and off the pitch that we’re able to attract such fantastic support from an international and growing company.”
