Hartpury University and Hartpury College have announced they are to sponsor the ‘Confident Girls’ category at the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Awards 2021, held in association with Punchline-Gloucester.com.

The awards celebrate the projects, groups, events, activities and organisations that have supported families and children in the Cheltenham area over the past year. The NCLB Awards ran for the first time in 2019 but missed 2020 due to the pandemic.

No Child Left Behind works with partners to deliver training and education opportunities, host free events, and to raise awareness of issues affecting children such as criminal exploitation and healthy eating. The organisation frequently links up with big national campaigns as well as supporting those locally with issues directly affecting the community.

The ‘Confident Girls’ category aims to recognise those that are actively tackling issues affecting girls, including period poverty and self-esteem.

Other award categories include Our Town, Positive Relationships, Good Mental Health, Eating Well and Ambitious Careers, each aiming to celebrate the many fantastic achievements of projects and people in the region.

Stuart Emmerson, Director of Business Development at Hartpury said: “Hartpury University and Hartpury College are incredibly proud to sponsor the ‘Confident Girls’ category of the No Child Left Behind Awards.

“There is a great deal of inspirational work taking place to support young women in the area and we’re delighted to be able to help shine a light on those making a positive difference to young people’s lives.”

Hartpury joins Evans Jones Property & Planning Consultancy and Infrastar as award sponsors. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony at Cheltenham Town Hall on January 13.
