Hartpury Agri-Tech Centre launches new business membership

Agri Tech

The Hartpury Agri-Tech Centre is offering fresh support to the agriculture industry through a new commercial membership package that offers unparalleled resource and support to innovative tech companies nationwide.

The Hartpury Agri-Tech Centre showcases the production, welfare and financial improvements that agri-technologies can bring to farmers and food producers, as well as providing an opportunity to share associated knowledge to help further increase their overall farm performance and productivity.

Hartpury Agri-Tech Centre Manager Ben Thompson is committed to supporting agri-tech businesses, helping them unlock and share their exciting innovations as well as supporting their farming clients.

“Ultimately, it’s about providing exciting agri-tech businesses with the ability to connect more widely and directly with the farming industry,” said Ben.

“Our new business membership will offer the opportunity for companies to showcase and promote their exciting products and services to our wider Digital Farming Network, as well as have access to use our purpose-built facilities for training and demonstration to existing and prospective clients.

“From a wider perspective, the more we can encourage and facilitate the connection between developers and users of technology, the greater the advantages for the agricultural industry and food production as a whole.”

Supporting the progress of new and current innovations by providing connection to real-world producers is timely and is how the Hartpury Agri-Tech Centre operates with industry.

Hartpury University and Hartpury College is an institution that has strong links to the agricultural industry, both through research and industry engaging projects and developments. In addition, a fully operational commercial farm serving clients including Muller and Marks & Spencer complements the wider Digital Farming Network of farmers, advisors and future agriculturalists in the form of college and university students.

The unique complex of agri-tech facilities enables farmers, Hartpury students and organisations involved in agriculture to benefit from comprehensive access to the latest commercial technology.

The £2 million Agri-Tech Centre is part of Hartpury’s ambitious 10-year vision to create a Digital Innovation Farm on site, Phase 2 of which is launching in 2022 with the £2 million Tech Box Park offering innovation spaces for agri-businesses.
