Stephen has always dreamed of playing football, but he believes that getting a degree is the most essential thing in his life. He chose Hartpury because it’s recognised across the world as a top provider for sports education, and would allow him to follow his passion for football whilst also studying his sports business degree.

David loves how how friendly everyone is and how approachable the staff are at Hartpury. He chose Hartpury as they offer the Access to HE Sports Science diploma. The support he received was phenomenal. Within two weeks he knew Hartpury was the place he wanted to study.

Hazel always thought ‘I’m not going to University’. But, she joined and absolutely loved it. She is proud of what she has achieved at Hartpury.

Sapphire has always loved animals. Coming from a family where everyone works with animals, and having them at home, there wasn’t really any question about what she wanted to do as a career. By studying Bioveterinary Science, she will be able to achieve her goal and make a difference to animals in need.

After being home-schooled, Saskia had a lovely transition into university. The lab practical sessions allowed her to put the theory into practise. She can apply what she has learnt in her lectures to clinical practice and develop practical skills that are utilised in Bioveterinary careers.

At the BIAZA Research Conference, it was fantastic to hear about all of the research that has been going on in the zoo world. It was incredible to network with a huge range of people, with a real mix of undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD students, as well as keepers and established researchers.

Zoe loves on-site lectures and making use of the beautiful campus. She loves that its in a rural location but so close to Gloucester city centre at the same time.

Echo loves dogs of all sizes, temperaments and breeds. After working at a kennel for two years, she knew she wanted a career with dogs. She chose Hartpury because of its amazing reputation and for it being the only place with a course that was made for her.
