Career Overview

I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) with a degree in Veterinary Science in 2009. I then stayed on at the RVC to study for a PhD in canine biomechanics which I completed in 2013. I joined Hartpury University in 2013 as a Lecturer in Animal Health and then progressed to the role of programme manager of various different undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. I then applied for and successfully achieved a Teaching and Research position in 2020. I currently supervise students all the way from undergraduate to PhD level, contribute to teaching in the fields of Animal Biomechanics, Therapy and Health and chair the Hartpury Ethics Committee.

  • Canine Sports - Injury risk and biomechanics of canine flyball, biomechanics of canine agility
  • Exotic Pet Health and Welfare - Issues surrounding the health and welfare of small mammals (rabbits and rodents)
