Christy Maddock

Career Overview

I began my role as a Technician/Demonstrator in 2022 following my previous position as a Research Assistant at Hartpury University. I have tutored placement year students and taught across various programmes within equine at all levels; my dedication to teaching lead me to complete an Advance HE Fellowship. Alongside my teaching role, I also work with professionals to deliver objective horse and rider data that supports decision making in practice; I bring my love for technology and objective measuring systems into teaching at Hartpury to support graduates to take technical skills into the equestrian industry. 

My role as a technician allows me to contribute to a variety of research projects and I am passionate about involving students in research - I am part of a team that lead our 'Equestrian Research Club' to give students access to all areas of the research process and encourage evidence-based practice beyond Hartpury.
