Jason Smerdon

Career Overview

Jason joined Hartpury in April 2025 as Director of Finance. His most recent role was as Chief Financial Officer at one of the UK’s largest apprenticeship providers, prior to which he was Group Finance Director for over 5 years at the University of Bristol. He has held a number of senior finance roles across multiple sectors, including the BBC, Capita, Orange and renewables consultancy DNV GL.  A chartered accountant, Jason was awarded a BA Hons History degree from Durham University.
