Dr Martin Longworth

Career Overview

I spent 9 years at Cardiff Metropolitan University between 2009-2018 completing my BSc, MSc, PgC and Prof Doc. I held many academic and sporting roles during my time at Cardiff Met, which included; Technical Demonstrator, Lecturer, Academy Director and Men's Football 1st Team Assistant Coach.

I joined The University of Wolverhampton in 2017 as a Lecturer in Sports Coaching & Performance, as well as Men's Football 1st Team Head Coach. I was course lead for the BSc Sports Coaching Practice (Football) programme, which was granted CIMSPA accreditation in my second year and also achieved my Teaching Fellowship from Advance HE.

I joined Hartpury University in 2019 as a Senior Lecturer in Sports Coaching & PE where I am currently the MSc Sports Coaching programme manager. I'm also Head Coach of Hartpury University FC and lead conveyor of our Hartpury University Sports Coaching Centre. I Achieved my Teaching Senior Fellowship from Advance HE in 2022.
