Career Overview

I have taught across higher and further education within the veterinary nursing department since I started in August 2016. I am a registered veterinary nurse with clinical experience across equine, mixed, and small animal practice. In my current position as a lecturer and program manager for the Diploma and Professional Studies course, I also support students as a personal tutor and throughout their dissertation projects.

I hold an MRes in Animal Behaviour and Welfare from Hartpury and a BSc (Hons) Equine Veterinary Nursing Science degree from the University of the West of England. Additionally, I have completed a PGCHE and am a fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

In the past, I have had the opportunity to present my research at the BVNA (British Veterinary Nursing Association) Congress and BVBA (British Veterinary Behaviour Association).

  • Exploring animal behaviour in a veterinary setting and identifying fear-free practice and progressive methods of behavioural management, including how patient and owner support could be improved.
