Career Overview

I completed a BSc(Hons) in Equine Science at Hartpury College (UWE) in 2000, then spent four years sharing my working week between a nursing role at an equine veterinary practice and an equine charity rehabilitating rescue horses and ponies in Wales. I took on a full-time nursing role at Liphook Equine Hospital in 2003 where I gained my Equine Veterinary Nursing qualification. My roles included intensive and post-operative nursing care, radiography, assisting in emergencies, theatre nursing and clinical coaching of junior nurses.

In 2016 I joined Hartpury University as a Lecturer in the Veterinary Nursing Department and completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education with FHEA status at UWE in 2017.
