Level 3 Extended Diploma in Uniformed Protective Services

If you want the opportunity to gain a realistic understanding of the features of each Uniformed Protective Service or Armed Services and the expectations they have of serving members of the public, this is the ideal course.

This two-year course covers services such as:

  • Police
  • Fire and Rescue
  • Ambulance
  • Prison Service
  • HM Revenue and Customs
  • Royal Navy
  • Royal Air Force
  • Royal Army

You will be able to look at all of the different services with the opportunity to investigate your particular choice of service.

You will also benefit from industry speakers in lecturers and field trips to strengthen your learning.

Career and education opportunities

The range of opportunities following the course is broad and we aim to give you the opportunity to gain the qualifications and skills to begin a career in protective services. Other opportunities can include; PCSO (Police Community Support Officer); Special Constable; Reserve forces or perhaps becoming a member of support staff or a control room operator.

You’ll have the opportunity to enter employment in the public services sector or progress to university to study degrees such as Public Services, Criminology, or Law.
