Level 3 National Extended Diploma Sport (Rugby)

Do you want to develop your own rugby skills and performance, alongside the study of coaching and training? If so, this  two-year Extended Diploma is for you.

On this course, you will gain a valuable insight into coaching and training techniques for a range of rugby populations, from young children to elite professional players, this course is for you. We will give you all the tools needed to examine your own play and team play, ensuring you improve and develop as a player throughout your time with us.

What you will study

• Anatomy and Physiology of Rugby
• Fitness Training and Programming for Rugby
• Rugby Coaching
• Business of Rugby
• Skill Acquisition in Rugby

Industry experience

Completing some work experience will allow you to:

• Gain first-hand experience of the industry
• Benefit from invaluable networking opportunities and contacts
• Receive the foundation to pursue a career in a variety of domains such as within the coaching, teaching and personal training sector

You’ll also have the chance to coach and referee at local venues throughout the county.

Career and education opportunities

When you have successfully completed your BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport (Rugby), you can progress to on to a foundation degree or full honours degree, dependent on your overall achievement.
