Level 3 Foundation Diploma Sport (Fitness)

If you’re looking for a career in the fitness industry or hoping to progress onto a higher education sports degree, then this course provides an excellent foundation for your development towards your goals.

You will learn through a mix of theory based and practical sessions and study 7 modules over the course of the year. This will give you a solid grounding in all aspects of fitness, instructing and sports science.

You’ll also complete an industry recognised YMCA Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing, meaning you will be a qualified fitness instructor on completion of the course.

• Practical Sport Performance (Fitness)

Career and education opportunities

Once you have successfully completed this one year course, you can progress to the second year of the Level 3 Extended Diploma Sport (Fitness) programme (subject to a successful interview and tutor recommendation).

Entry Requirements

2 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above to include English Language and either Mathematics or a Science.

We will accept applicants with a grade 3 in English Language, provided they have achieved a grade 4 or above in English Literature.
