Hartpury is the ideal setting for talented football players to combine top level football in a professional atmosphere while continuing their studies.

As five-time winners of the English Colleges’ Football Association National Championship, ECFA Premier League Champions for six of the last seven years, British Colleges National Cup Champions and three-time English Schools Football Association Under-18s National Champions, Hartpury’s junior football programme has established itself as the best in the UK.

Hartpury players have gone on to secure professional contracts in the UK and across the world.

Assessment days

We're holding assessment days for any prospective students for the forthcoming academic year (September 2019). The assessment days are for players who are looking to apply for an academic course here at Hartpury. These days are designed to give both you and your parents/guardians an introduction to our Sports Academy.

As well as top level coaching, our elite players have access to performance services that can include physiotherapy, sports psychology, nutrition advice and strength and conditioning. All academy students also have access to our exceptional sports facilities, from the cardio and power gyms to the six grass and two 3G pitches and the human performance laboratory.

Twenty-two national football titles, thirty-two professionals and six full internationals in 13 years is proof that our forward-thinking training and coaching methods are helping players reach their full potential.

Hartpury football has excellent links with clubs including; Ostersunds FK (Sweden), FC Nordsjaelland (Denmark), Derby County FC, Fulham FC, Birmingham City FC, Bristol City FC, Bristol Rovers FC, Exeter City FC, Cheltenham Town FC, Swindon Town FC, Newport County FC,  Gloucester City FC and Hereford FC, giving players the perfect platform to take the next step in their career.

Graduate David Accam, who played Champions and Europa league football for Swedish side Helsingborg IF, has recently signed for Chicago Fire in the MLS, scoring 21 goals in his debut season and made the All-Star team in his second season.

Matt Smith is now playing in the Thai premier league for Bangkok Glass FC and Abdul Majeed Waris, who represented Ghana at the 2014 World Cup, is currently playing in France in Ligue 1 for FC Lorient after spells with Spartak Moscow and Trabzonspor.
