In order for you to be selected onto the football programme, you must first be applying for, or have already accepted, a place onto an academic course at Hartpury College.

Our elite squad will regularly include players who have been with a professional club either as an apprentice or a full-time professional. Others can expect to have had at least extensive trials with professional clubs prior to joining Hartpury.

The elite squad normally comprises of our top two sides: the elite and elite development teams. The players who do not make this squad will have the chance to play regular football and develop at a competitive level.

Trials for prospective players will be held over the course of the year, with the purpose of identifying talented players. You can sign up for our next trial using the form below.

Ultimately places in the programme will be offered based on prior experience, your sporting CV and trials.

Scholarships are offered to elite players on an individual basis and are directly related to sporting and academic performance usually determined through a sporting CV and achievements prior to joining Hartpury.

These are re-assessed on an annual basis, with a review looking at academic and sporting performance as well as an individual’s disciplinary record and behaviour over the course of the 12 month period. Scholarships will generally contribute towards the cost of student accommodation.

If you are confident that you meet the selection requirements outlined above, then please take the next step and get in contact with our junior football manager, Paul Tassell, at paul.tassell@hartpury.ac.uk or on 01452 702541.

My time at Hartpury was great for me in terms of my development, both in education and in football.
