As part of one of our 10 College academies, you will benefit from our exceptional facilities and have access to a range of professional support services, supporting you to be the best you can become.
Alongside specialist coaching, these support services could include strength and conditioning, nutrition advice, sports psychology and physiotherapy.
In order for you to be selected onto the netball programme, you must first be applying for, or have already accepted, a place onto a course at Hartpury College.
Our elite squad compete to a very high standard and will regularly include players who have had national trials at Under-17s level or been involved in clubs at regional or national level. The elite squad normally comprises of our top two teams. The players who do not make this squad will still have the chance to play netball at a competitive level as part of a development squad and encouraged to gain experience at external netball clubs.
Trials for the netball academy open at the beginning of the school year but before this period there are invitation days and opportunities to play with current Hartpury players and potential new players for the upcoming season. These take place over February half term and Easter break.
Ultimately, places in the programme will be offered based on prior experience, your sporting CV, coach’s reference and trials.
Scholarships are offered to elite players on an individual basis and are directly related to sporting and academic performance usually determined through a sporting CV and achievements prior to joining Hartpury. They will generally cover accommodation fees and/or elite sport membership costs.
These are re-assessed on an annual basis, with a review looking at academic and sporting performance as well as an individual’s disciplinary record and behaviour over the course of the 12 month period.
