As a talented netballer, you’ll have the chance to study and train as part of one of the country’s most successful student athlete netball programmes in the UK. We have an outstanding track record of developing players as well as preparing athletes for a career beyond their sport.

We will help you to balance your studies and your netball commitments. You’ll benefit from our extensive links with pathways in both Welsh Netball and England Netball. We’ll support your development and provide you with additional opportunities to play and officiate for Hartpury, as well as with external clubs. Whilst you’re with us, you can gain invaluable work experience and build links for your chosen career.

You will learn from qualified and well experienced coaches who are involved at both National and International level alongside playing in the UK Netball Super League. As coaches, we will support you to balance your academic studies and your netball commitments to enable you to succeed cohesively in both. Our students have gone on to represent at National, NPL or International level regularly.

We are currently a Team Bath Athlete Development Centre and also have players from other Netball Superleague Franchises as well as players from the Welsh Pathway. The academy will support you with your franchise and pathway choice to ensure you have the best possible support to succeed within your netball career.

Your sporting timetable is designed with you in mind, meaning you'll get the best from your qualification and your training. The training will work alongside your study and playing level. With teams competing in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) leagues and the AoC National Leagues, there’s something for everyone.

We currently have over 100 athletes within the Netball programme continuing to grow per year. It is a very competitive academy however we ensure to accommodate to all levels and standards of play.

Hartpury taught me how to take a limitation and turn it into an opportunity and how to take an opportunity and turn it into an adventure! The Hartpury years were the best years of my life and I made memories I will hold on to for a lifetime.

Find the right course for you

All of our courses – A-levels and diplomas - offer clear progression routes through to university courses and the world of work. All students work not only towards their main qualification, but also the Hartpury Certificate.

Our diplomas in our specialist subject areas have the same academic value as A-levels (a two-year Extended Diploma is equivalent to three A-levels) but are more practical and work-related, without missing out on any of the important subject theory.

Our A-levels focus on traditional study skills and students study three A-levels for around six hours per week; that’s more teaching hours than the majority of sixth forms and colleges. They are also supported to access compulsory enrichment with opportunities and clubs relating to their area of interest, ensuring they stand out from the crowd when they apply to university or move on to employment.

Our Access to Higher Education Diplomas enable successful students who want to do a degree but left school or college without the qualifications they needed to move into Higher Education.
