Having been released from Plymouth Argyle at the age of 16, Jake joined Hartpury where he represented both the U18 and U19 sides, winning two cups during his time here.

After some impressive performances for Hartpury, Jake joined the ranks at Forest Green where another string of good performances for the reseves earned tim a two year YTS contract with Exeter.

After signing a two year professional contract with the Devon side in 2011, Jake was loaned out to Dorchester Town for the first half of the 2012/13 season. It was here that his goal for the Conference South side knocked his former employers, Plymouth Argyle, out of the FA Cup.

Jake went on to be called back by Exeter, making his debut as a substitue in the 3-0 win over Southend United. He went on to make 12 appearances over the rest of the season and scored his first goal against Northampton Town in another 3-0 victory. Jake was then loaned out to National North league side Gloucester City where he made 12 appearances scoring 3 goals.

In June 2014 it was announced that Gosling had signed for Bristol Rovers who at the time were in the National Premier. He scored three goals during his debut season for the pirates playing a big part in them gaining promotion back to the Football League.

Jake is a current international footballer playing for the Gibraltar national team. He has made 11 appearances becoming the nations current top goal scorer with two goals.
