James Brooke

James studied the Access to Higher Education Diploma in Sports Studies here at Hartpury and has now gone on to study BSc Sport and Exercise Science with us.

James' Hartpury Experience

"I believe that getting children active is so important for them. I’m a trained chef, but I also have a background in endurance sports and personal training, so decided to change career. I chose Hartpury due to its amazing facilities, as well as the people, lecturers, tutors and education. I am also in the rowing academy and the split between education and rowing is second to none."

Developing Industry Connections

"It’s the incredible people and teaching that really makes Hartpury shine – and that’s why I’m staying here to study BSc Sport and Exercise Nutrition. My goal is to create campaigns that inspire young people to get involved in sports and understand food for a healthier future. I want to get into work straight away when I finish at Hartpury, but I don't think will be hard as Hartpury really helps you get into the working world."
