If you'd like to study for a degree but don't have the qualifications you need, then an Access to Higher Education diploma could be for you. Qualifications are offered flexibly to suit your commitments and, depending on your situation, you could get your tuition fees paid in full.

At Hartpury, you can choose from Access to Higher Education qualifications in Sports Science, Animal Science and Welfare, Agriculture and Equine. You’ll benefit from a specialist and hands-on learning environment with world-class facilities and expertise.

On successful completion of your course you should be ready to progress onto an undergraduate degree in your chosen subject area. Many of our students progress onto Hartpury University degrees, with options to advance even further with a Hartpury postgraduate qualification.

Each course is made up of core units which include science, business, research projects and higher education study skills. There is also the opportunity to study towards separate English and maths qualifications, for students without qualifications in these areas.

You could get your tuition fees paid If you’re aged 19-23 and haven’t already studied a level 3 (A-levels, diploma or equivalent) qualification. UK Students aged 24+ may be eligible to apply for an Advanced Learning Loan to cover their fees. These loans may not require repayment if you then continue onto, and complete, a degree.

An Access to Higher Education Diploma could take you anywhere. After your undergraduate degree, you could even progress onto a master's and a PhD in your specialist area.
