Playing sport at Hartpury

Whether you love playing for fun, cheering on those who do, or want to become the next big sports star, we have everything you need

We’re a big sports campus with exceptional facilities that are open for all of our students, not just those who are part of Hartpury’s academy squads.

Wednesdays are dedicated to sport on campus, but we also have evening activities taking place throughout week.

Students from all courses are welcome to come and join in. There’s recreational football, as well as turn-up-and-play opportunities with our student led teams including basketball and women's hockey.

Joining one of our social sports teams is a fantastic way to make new friends and keep fit as you develop your athletic abilities and your confidence.

Hartpury Active

Whether it’s joining one of the recreational sports teams or taking a walk around our breathtaking campus, our Hartpury Active project has opportunities to suit you and your friends.

Hartpury Active is a physical wellness project that aims to create a culture of regular physical activity on campus. Regardless of what you’re studying at Hartpury, the programme is available to enhance your experience through sport and physical activity.

Teams are led by current students who have an interest in developing opportunities for their peers. You can come along as often as you like, you don’t need to commit to every session.

Activities are free of charge where possible and most fitness classes cost just £1. Student-led teams will generally have an annual membership fee, which may vary. Get in touch to find out the current fees. Sessions are for Hartpury students and staff only, so you will need your student/staff card.

The best way to keep up to date is to follow Hartpury Active on social media.
