Our 360-hectare campus in the heart of Gloucestershire offers the ideal haven for outdoor exploration and adventure. For the buzz of urban life, Gloucester and Cheltenham are on your doorstep.

Hartpury is around a 15-minute drive from Gloucester and 20 minutes from Cheltenham. With exciting shops, cafés, eateries, bars and nightclubs, there’s something for every taste, every day of the week.

How to get around

As a Hartpury student, there are lots of ways you can get around and explore Gloucestershire. You can hop on one of the shuttle buses that stop regularly on campus. Please note, there is a reduced service over weekends.

If you ride a bike, you can store it in our secure bike sheds on campus.

We also offer on-campus parking and discounted rates with local taxi firms. Here's some more information about the options available to you.

Parking on campus

You can bring your car with you to Hartpury and park it on campus. You’ll just need to purchase a car park pass, which is available from Student Services when you arrive or via our online shop. You can park for free in the Sports car park and Lower Equine car park.

Regular bus service

Lots of our students choose to use the regular shuttle bus service.

The Hartpury Shuttle bus service to Gloucester is operated via the Zeelo booking platform. Details on how to book tickets, ticket options and timetables are available via Zeelo.

Taxis

If you need to get a taxi, local company Andy Cars offers a discounted rate for Hartpury students, currently around £12-£20 for a taxi into Gloucester, depending on the time of travel.

Travel to campus

If you need to travel to or from campus, you could get a train from Gloucester station which is just 15 minutes away from Hartpury by car. Trains run as frequently as every 30 minutes to nearby cities including Bristol, Birmingham and Cardiff.

The travelling distance by car from Hartpury to Bristol is roughly 50 minutes, to Cardiff 1 hour 15 minutes, and to Birmingham 1 hour.
