Mathematics is an interesting and challenging A-level that will enable you to study a wide range of topics across pure and applied mathematics. You'll develop and deepen your understanding of topics covered at GCSE and be introduced to many new concepts too.
Throughout the course you'll apply your learning to interesting and complex problems and develop your skills in problem solving, logic and modelling. You'll be required to demonstrate skills of mathematical argument, language and proof.
The ability to use and manipulate algebra is a key element to A-level Mathematics and to be successful at this level of study it is essential that you enjoy working with algebra.
The study of Mathematics A-level leads to career pathways in medicine, science, business and accountancy, architecture, teaching and education, law and computing.

GCSE | You will need a minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4 or above to include Mathematics and English Language, as well as:
GCSE grade 7 or above in Mathematics

Once we receive your application, we will write and invite you to attend an interview and written assessment with a member of staff on your chosen course. The interview is an opportunity to discuss the course content, ask any questions you may have and go on a tour of the campus.
