Course Overview
This course enables relatively inexperienced operators to safely operate a tractor. By the end of the 2 Day course they should be able to hitch up to and manoeuvre a trailer to a basic standard and also hitch up to 3 point linkage implement.

Working safely and effectively with attachments
Hitching
PTO operation
Students must bring strong working boots, protective clothing, packed lunch and suitable drinks.
Assessment is via integrated assessment and training by the tutor. Prices include LANTRA registration fee.
Suitability to the length of course is at the tutor’s discretion. Please contact us to discuss your requirements
Courses are either a 2 day course or a 3 day course depending on experience
The minimum age to attend this course is 16 years of age.

All course fees must be paid at least 4 weeks prior to the first day of the course. If we have not received full payment of course fees your place on the course cannot be guaranteed.
If you need to cancel your course, Hartpury College will refund tuition fees at the following rates:
- Up to 30 days prior to the course start date – full refund of tuition fees*
- Between 30 and 14 days prior to the course start date –50% refund of tuition fees*
- Less than 14 days’ notice – no refund of tuition fees
*an administrative fee of £50 will be deducted from the refund value.
If Hartpury postpones or cancels the course and is unable to provide an alternative date(s) any tuition fees will be refunded in full.
