Once enrolled on an academic course and if you want to fulfil your golfing potential, you will have the opportunity to trial for our elite and elite development squads, which are designed to take your game to the next level.
As part of an elite squad, your development will be supported by having access to professional services that could include psychology, nutrition, physiotherapy and strength and conditioning. Details on the benefits and costs for those enrolling in September 2017 will be confirmed in early 2017.
All students on our golf course also benefit from first-class coaching from three full-time PGA professionals and in recent years, our golf students have had the opportunity to spend a week in Spain on our study tour, which enables them to experience a week of intensive practice and training normally associated with county and national squads.
Most of our students go on to study at university and many have also taken up scholarships with top American universities. Many students have gone on to become successful amateur internationals and PGA Professionals.
Ultimately places in the programme will be offered based on prior experience, your sporting CV and trials.
Scholarships are offered to elite players on an individual basis and are directly related to sporting and academic performance usually determined through a sporting CV and achievements prior to joining Hartpury.
These are re-assessed on an annual basis, with a review looking at academic and sporting performance as well as an individual’s disciplinary record and behaviour over the course of the 12 month period. Scholarships will generally contribute towards the cost of student accommodation.
