Driving Gloucestershire’s productivity

Our world population is growing fast, with agriculture being among the major industries that is changing to support this rise. As future agriculturalists, your role is important. Join our mission to help to create a sustainable future for the next generations.

Our global population is increasing by approximately 83 million people each year*. This means increased demand for food, which puts immense pressure on our earth’s resources.

You, as future agriculturalists, are critical to tackling this challenge.

At Hartpury, we’ll support you to do just that. Through our new £2million Agri-Tech Centre, which opens in September 2019, you’ll be exposed to the latest smart farming technologies and see real-world projects in action, aimed at improving productivity and profitability across the county.

The centre is being developed in partnership with GFirst LEP. Complementing existing agricultural projects in Gloucestershire, it will include unique demonstration, bio-security and livestock areas to showcase the potential of smart farming.
