All students need to possess a certain level of English language proficiency before studying with us. This is to ensure you will be successful in your studies and during your time in the UK. You may also need to provide proof of English language proficiency if you are applying for a visa.
The below information details our minimum English language proficiency requirements for all course levels from a UKVI approved test provider. You may not need to provide proof of English language proficiency if you;
- are from a Majority English Speaking country (as defined by the UKVI),
- have completed the GCSE or Scottish National Qualification level 4 or 5 in English Language at a school in the UK,
- have completed IB Diploma, with English at grade Standard 3 (S3) or above,
- completed a bachelors degree in a UK or majority English speaking country university
Please be aware that you may be asked to attend an online Hartpury CAS Approval Interview as an additional requirement.
Pre-sessional English Courses
If you need to improve your level of English before joining us, we've partnered with the Oxford International Digital Institute to offer an online pre-sessional English course.
The intensive full-time online course aims to improve your Academic English language level to the standard required for your chosen degree programme. Study over 6, 12 or 16 weeks with the length of the course designed to match your current English language level.
