Eligibility criteria

This financial support provision applies to the academic year starting 2026 only and may be subject to change in future years.

In order to be eligible for the Trailblazer or Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship, you must have received an offer to study a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate degree at Hartpury University.

Successful scholarship applicants will be notified in June 2026 and must confirm acceptance of their scholarship within 14 days of notification. To secure the award, you must:

  • Accept an offer to study a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate degree at Hartpury University
  • Pay your full tuition fee deposit (50% of your first-year tuition fee)

Terms and Conditions:

  • You must have received an offer to study a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate degree at Hartpury University, commencing in September 2026 and be studying for at least one full academic year.
  • You must be confirmed as an international student for fee-paying purposes (as stated in your offer letter).
  • Scholarships are awarded as tuition fee discounts only. No cash alternative is available.
  • The scholarship is applied to the first year of study only.
  • The tuition fee discount cannot be used in place of any required tuition fee deposit.
  • The scholarship will be deducted from your second tuition fee instalment. Once awarded, you will receive a revised invoice for your first-year tuition fee.
  • If you defer your entry to Hartpury University, the scholarship cannot be carried forward. Your award will be withdrawn; however, you may be eligible to apply for scholarships applicable to the next academic year.
  • If you withdraw during your first year of study, your scholarship will be cancelled and you will be required to pay the international tuition fee applicable for the period studied, in line with Hartpury University’s Tuition Fee Policy.
  • You may receive only one Hartpury scholarship. If you are eligible for more than one award, you will receive the highest value scholarship.
  • Applicants in receipt of any other Hartpury scholarship, bursary, funding or discount (excluding the early payment discount) are not eligible for these scholarships.
  • You are not eligible if you receive external sponsorship covering tuition fees or tuition fees and living costs where the University invoices a third party directly (e.g. government, charity or private organisation).
  • You must be able to meet all UKVI financial requirements for your student visa. You should not rely solely on receiving a Hartpury scholarship to satisfy these requirements.
  • Scholarship recipients and award values are determined by the University’s scholarship selection panel.
  • All decisions are final, and there is no right of appeal.
