Why go to university?

Choosing to attend university is a personal decision, but your guidance can help support your young person in making the right choice.

While not the only path to success, university offers valuable opportunities both academically and personally. It’s a transformative experience that prepares them for the workforce, fosters independence, and helps build lasting friendships.

Are you a parent of 2027 entry student?

Attend a UCAS Discovery event so that you and your young person can experience university life first-hand at an actual university or college campus across the UK.

Hartpury University is hosting its very own UCAS Discovery event on Friday 12 June 2026. Come along to explore multiple university options in one place, speak to representatives from various institutions and ask the advisers all your questions.

If you're unable to attend the event at Hartpury University, you can also find us at others across the country.
