People thought I was mad opening my own Pilates studio at the age of 24. I left a lucrative job at a private gym in Mayfair to run my own business. I knew it would be a success because of the skills and knowledge that my Hartpury degree had given me.

We’re now one of the biggest Pilates businesses in the UK and my studios cater for everyone from local residents to professional sports men and women, as well as models and celebrities. I’ve opened five studios in eight years and now my plan is to take the business nationwide.

Studying a degree at Hartpury can put you head and shoulders above other people in this industry. A lot of people might do a course for 12 weeks and become qualified but they don’t have the same level of knowledge someone with a sports degree has.

Why I chose Hartpury

The confidence you build from day one at Hartpury all comes from what you’re taught by the lecturers. I wouldn’t have even got my foot in the door at the Mayfair gym without my degree.

As soon as I visited, I knew it was the right place for me. I loved how dedicated to sport the campus was, and the facilities are outstanding.
