She also helps conduct market research into specific sectors of the sport industry and that helps them to identify potential new leads for the future.

Hannah's Hartpury Experience

"The knowledge I gained from the business modules on my course and the fact I was able to conduct my own research around my own interests and job ambitions have been the foundation for me getting off to a great start in the workplace. Specific modules such as Events Management and Sports Sponsorship and Marketing opened my eyes to areas of the industry I had not previously considered. What I learned on those modules and the experiences I gained at Hartpury University now play an important part in my work life.

All experience is good experience and I’d recommend getting as much of it as you can, preferably making it relevant to the kind of positions you’re interested in applying for! Before the Rugby World Cup 2015, I never considered that I would be an integral part in the delivery of an iconic international sporting event. It was truly unforgettable and certainly contributed to me securing the role I am in now."

Developing Industry Connections

"At the Rugby World Cup I was responsible for more than 50 official travel and hospitality agents from across the world throughout the tournament. This involved managing travel agents’ requirements in the build-up and throughout the competition, contracting new agents, meeting sales requirements and approving marketing materials that we could use. It was an unforgettable experience and I am certain that I wouldn’t have secured my current role without it."
