Philly, an Equine Sports Science graduate, moved to Germany after completing her degree in 2012. She is currently a full-time rider for Andreas Wempe Dressur Pferdezucht in Cappeln, Lower Saxony.
She has 10-12 young horses that she trains with the goal of successfully putting the mares through the Mare Performance Tests and the stallions through the Stallion Licensing.
Philly said “the support and training I received from Nick Burton and Carl Hester during my time at Hartpury University was invaluable in improving and educating me as a rider and I am very grateful for the three years of training I was given.”
“Having completed my degree in Equine Sports Science I now have a fundamental knowledge base in all areas, from equine biomechanics and gait analysis, to equine and human sports medicine. This is vital in a job involving young horses, as they change at a very rapid rate so having the experience that I have following my degree is important.”
“I really enjoyed my time at Hartpury University and feel very privileged to have been part of such an amazing and supportive academy as the Equine Academy and I hope to continue with the sporting successes I have had in England here in Germany.”
