BA (Hons) Sports Business Management

Seb Negri

Seb studied BA (Hons) Sport Business Management at Hartpury and then represented Italy in the 2019 Rugby World Cup, and 2020 Six Nations.

"The environment at Hartpury made me want to work hard and learn more. It gives you a great degree but also really values your development as a student athlete. It’s somewhere that you get noticed and I’m lucky enough to have been picked up by a professional club. The relationships you have with everyone makes you feel at ease and gives you confidence in everything that you take on.

Coming from a different country, you’re always worried about the change of culture but I was welcomed in with open arms. Coming to England and joining the ‘Hartpury team’ was one of the best decisions I ever made. I owe so much to Hartpury – I’ll never forget where I’ve come from, that’s for sure.

The rugby at Hartpury is built around a winning culture and that really helped with the transition to professional sport. I’ve had an incredible year. Benetton Treviso have made some good strides this season and it’s always good to be part of a team that’s ambitious and getting results. There aren’t many places that can give you the opportunity to play in elite leagues while you’re studying for a degree. If you perform week-in, week-out people will notice you. There’s no better platform for you to showcase your skills and your talent."
