Sian's Hartpury Experience

"Going to Hartpury University was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The knowledge base that you gain from the first year of your degree sets you up to choose other subjects later on in your degree that interest you. I chose to do a sandwich year and work in the industry, as employers really value work experience alongside your degree. I worked as an Equine Orthopaedic Technician at the University of Edinburgh’s equine hospital. This experience was invaluable, providing me with practical experience to back up the theoretical learning in my final year, and also gave me the practical skills I needed to fulfil a specialist Games Maker role as a veterinary technician at the London 2012 Olympic Games."
