Qualification & subject:
Undergraduate BSc (Hons) Bioveterinary Science
Canine Hydrotherapist, Cotswold Dog Spa
Taking every opportunity

I always wanted to be a vet but I wasn’t aware of the alternative career paths. I was offered a session in canine hydrotherapy as part of a study week in my first year, and volunteered at the Cotswold Dog Spa while studying my degree.  I secured a job there after graduation.

Why I love my job

The best bit about my job is seeing the improvements in rehabilitation cases - from young dogs with hip dysplasia progressing from nervous and lame to excited and pain free, to neurological cases being able to stand without support, having previously been unable to stand or walk.

It’s always rewarding to know that your skills as a hydrotherapist have helped make that possible.
