Starting my journey to university on the Access to Higher Education course was invaluable in preparing me, as the style of teaching and assignments are very similar to university level.

“A lot of the people that were specifically in my year were mature students who had got their GCSEs and A levels and then gone ‘I want to have a family or I want to go do this with my life’, and later on said, ‘I really think this degree is important’."

Access considers everyone of different ages, knowledge and backgrounds. The lecturers adapted their teaching to give individual help, changing their pace to suit the students.
