This is a progression course for students who have successfully completed the Level 3 Extended Certificate course at Hartpury College. Develop the theoretical and practical skills to work in the equine industry.  You'll have regular yard duties, including weekends. It’s therefore compulsory to live in Hartpury accommodation during your studies. You’ll complete internal work experience as well as an external block during your course.

Gain an understanding of management behind the equine industry. As part of this non-riding course, you’ll study an equine related business module and apply the theory as you take part in practical sessions on our equine yard – we have loan horses for you to work with. You'll complete a four-week block in the industry in both years to gain first hand commercial experience. You'll also be engaged in weekend show duties. Be ready to pursue a wide range of careers within an equine or business environment.

This course allows you to gain detailed academic knowledge and an in-depth understanding of horse management and business through theory-based and practical sessions.
