Janet Forbes

After some time out of education, Janet returned to study MSc Applied Equine Science at Hartpury University.

“Returning to study after 20 years was a big step, but Hartpury made it such a rewarding experience.

I had the chance to explore my passion for horse welfare through a dissertation funded by the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses. I interviewed global industry stakeholders, reviewed research and helped develop recommendations presented at the WBFSH General Assembly in Portugal.

The support from my supervisors was amazing throughout. I enjoyed it so much, I’m now exploring the possibility of starting a PhD.”
