BSc (Hons) Equine Science

Jenni Douglas

Jenni studied BSc (Hons) Equine Science at Hartpury and is now a Senior Lecturer and Programme Manager, as well as owning the programme Eventfit.

"I completed my PhD in rider fitness and the physiological demands eventing places on the rider. With the results from my research I developed ‘EventFit’, a 30-day, 40-exercise challenge that doesn’t require any equipment and is available worldwide with an online forum for questions, support and encouragement. I also developed two six-week training programmes for dressage and event riders as well as a more advanced 12-week programme. Alongside this, I provide an online bespoke programme for riders.

A vast part of my research, which is the scientific base for my EventFit programmes, was completed at Hartpury University. Being surrounded and supported by like-minded individuals really pushed my research and helped me to explore an area that has very little scientific background."
